SMC WAS FOUNDED IN 1982 to offer comprehensive meeting and management services to associations, non-profits, foundations, corporations and government agencies. Toni S. Sylvester, CMP, has been President and CEO of Sylvester Management Corporation since its founding in 1982. She received the designation of Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) in 1987 from the Convention Liaison Council, and was re-certified every five years until achieving Emeritus status in 2005. She has served as Executive Director of several national and regional associations, and received an Outstanding Achievement Award from one organization. She began working with government meetings in 1995 and has retained one agency client since that time while adding others. She led SMC to obtain a GSA schedule contract in 2005.

SMC specializes in groups that are cost and value conscious, and prides itself on achieving the financial goals of client organizations. From the initial step of understanding the client's objectives, through skillful management of the budget, to accounting for all revenues and expenses, SMC staff is always aware of the client's special needs.
